Course at Cashel House Hotel
Escape to Connemara and enjoy a Gardening
Course in the beautiful gardens of Cashel House Hotel. Two
and three day residential courses commencing in June 2008.
Guest speakers and presenters at the various
courses will include:
Ciaran Burke - garden writer, lecturer
and plant enthusiast. Ciaran runs the Garden School in the
west of Ireland, which is accredited to the Royal Horticultural
Society.
Lorna McMahon - owner of the magnificent
4 acre Ardcarrig Gardens on the outskirts of Galway City.
Her expertise includes heathers and bog gardens and an enthusiasm
to impart her knowledge to would-be gardeners.
John O'Driscoll - General Manager of
Strokestown House & Museum. John qualified at the Botanic
Gardesn. He oversaw the restoration of the fruit and vegetable
sections at Strokestown House. John's expertise is in garden
restoration.
Brian Cross - owner of the magical
Lakemount Garden in Co Cork. He is one of Ireland's most
knowledgeable and successful gardeners. Brian has made presentations
at many gardening courses througout the country.
The course will include a variety of activities
including workshops on planting and pruning, garden design
and restoration, vegetable, herb and fruit growing; demonstrations
etc.
